2017 is not starting well
Jan. 15th, 2017 01:29 pmMy poor husband's sciatic nerve is playing up so he is in bed trying to get comfortable. Our puss is attempting to be affectionate by sitting on the bed, but actually not really helping much.
It is Mum's birthday today and we were having people over...obviously not happening. Disappointed and attempting not to be upset, as it is not anyone's fault. Least Sis is managing to give Mum a nice birthday dinner at their house. Seems to be the time of year for illness or pain. I was ill over Christmas with a virus. On the bright side we haven't spent much and I am paid tomorrow.
I have been re reading the Peter Grant books in preparation to read the newest one. I had forgotten how laugh out funny some of it and how painful Broken Homes is. I would love to see this done well as a TV series, but not really sure who could play Nightingale and Peter. Thanks to
fairestcat and her
recsforalloccasions I have been enjoying some good Peter Grant fan fiction. Thank you :) I am now sadly out of anything to read but the ones I read have been excellent. We have all the books in paper form but I bought them on kindle as well so I could read them on the bus without lugging them around. One of the few books I don't feel bad reading on kindle- Peter would not doubt approve, Nightingale less so! LOL. I think maybe I am a little too involved in these books.
We got confirmation finally that we are closing in June, but not real word on whether they will be able to offer us another place of work. I work for the local government in care, and there is literally nothing left of it thanks to Conservatives in government and dodgy local council choices. I could rant on for hours over this but I will spare you.
